Electricity Supply Interruptions
Further to the Company’s announcement on 25 January 2008, IFL and other South African ferrochrome producers have been granted approval from Eskom to increase electricity consumption to 80% capacity. Accordingly, IFL has increased the operating capacity of its furnaces to this level. The Company has been advised that by late Thursday it will be able to increase its electricity consumption to 90% of capacity.
As any further information becomes available IFL will update the market.
